As the spring thaw hits, I find myself reflecting about the winter, its perils (how many times did I almost get caught? How many times did my ninja butt meet the frozen tundra as I tried to run away from the scene of a card drop or a random act of cheer? Too many!) and its triumphs (thanks to you, Lansing!).
The things I’ve seen this winter have astounded me. I’ve seen neighbors helping neighbors in two crippling blizzards. I’ve seen volunteers raising money for food and warm clothing for those less fortunate. I’ve seen my fellow ninjas reaching out and blogging (on a far better schedule than this sad, pathetic excuse for a ninja blogger) about it, and I’ve seen community members reaching out and doing their OWN ninja missions. As spring approaches, I wonder: how can it get better than this?
Actually, I’m doing more than wonder. I challenge. HOW CAN IT GET BETTER THAN THIS?? What more can we do?
Also, stay tuned, gardeners – ninja #3 has an upcoming mission that will knock your socks off!
